How Easy It Is To Be Healthy

Being healthy is our natural condition. But it's the unnatural things, such as chemicals and processed foods, work stress and sitting for long periods of time in front of the TV or computer that leads to unhealthy states.
The first step to keeping ourselves healthy is our diet. Eating a good diet will provide with the nutrients that allow our bodies to fight the stresses of everyday life. The best diet includes lots of fruits and vegetables from natural or organic sources, high quality local meats and just a few nuts, seeds and 100% whole grains. Using local sources, you can ask the farmers if there were chemicals used and how long a fruit or vegetable have been stored. Most local farmers find it too expensive to use lots of pesticides on their crops. Organic ensures no chemicals were used at all.
Next, get in regular, fun exercise. It should not be work. Do an activity as often as you can that raises your heart rate and provides your muscles with activity. Good recommendations are to try to get in 10 minutes every day or 20 minutes 3 times a week, whatever works best for your schedule. Exercise provides your body with stress relief and burns extra fat and calories. It will help keep you slim and toned. It also will protect your heart from disease and keep your brain sharp.
Surround yourself with family and friends. In good company, you will find stress relief and support from a network of people. Studies also find that the endorphins that are released when you see a loved one increase healing rates as much as 10 times!
Finally, be at peace. Stress comes from many levels and it's your reaction to this stress that can be the difference between health and sickness. Prayer and meditation have both been shown to reduce stress and bring peace.
Gaining health in this way, the natural way, brings many benefits. First, you see your doctor less. Yes, that once a year checkup can be all you need, plus the lack of medications and frequent illnesses.
When you eat right and are at peace, depression can lift and your head can clear. Many of my clients state they have a lack of fogginess after working with me. They also gain energy and are able to live life again. With a support network, you can experience more life and activities and you will be happier overall.
Remember, with health, you are in control of your life. Eat right, exercise, have a support network and be at peace.
